Entry Requirements

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

HND BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY 
 

  • SSSCE Applicants
    • Passes in three (3) core subjects including English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus three (3) passes in the following: Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Elective Mathematics.
  • WASSCE Applicants
    • Passes in three (3) core subjects including English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus three (3) passes in the following: Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Elective Mathematic, The aggregate of the six (6) subjects must not exceed 24 for SSSCE and 39 for WASSCE
  • GCE O’ AND A’ Level Applicants
    • Passes in five (5) GCE O’ Level Subjects including English Language, Mathematics and three (3) Science subjects, plus passes in two (2) A’ level Science subjects. A pass in General Paper is an added advantage.
  • Mature Applicants
    • Must be at least 25 years old with any legitimate documentary proof.
    • Must have relevant laboratory working experience (A letter from employer is required) with O’ Level OR SSSCE/ WASSCE PURE SCIENCE background as well as credits in English Language and Mathematics.
    • Must pass a selection interview

NB: The programme would be three (3) years (6 semesters) for Senior Secondary School graduates. Candidates with Medical Laboratory Technician Certificate will enter the second (2) year of the programme.

HND MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES

  • SSSCE Applicants
    • Passes in three (3) core subjects including English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus three (3) passes in the following: Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Elective Mathematics.
  • WASSCE Applicants
    • Passes in three (3) core subjects including English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus three (3) passes in the following: Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Elective Mathematics. The aggregate of the six (6) subjects must not exceed 24 for SSSCE and 39 for WASSCE.
